Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum encryption methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum communication projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubit platforms (IBM, Rigetti)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper)
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Strong background in linear algebra and Hilbert space mathematics
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
