Responsibilities
- Architect and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Lead a team of 5-7 quantum researchers and software engineers to achieve 2026 technology milestones
- Design error-corrected quantum processors operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and qubit coherence
- Develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols for enterprise clients
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through DOE and NSF proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA) and error correction codes
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile development environments
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or superconducting qubits
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into actionable business strategies
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract compliance
