Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing systems
- Optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Lead research initiatives to overcome quantum decoherence and scalability challenges
- Document technical specifications and publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing principles and best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (Master's with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of developing quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields preferred
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and mitigation strategies
