Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Lead research on quantum machine learning applications
- Document quantum solutions and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming best practices
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Proven experience with high-performance computing environments
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Familiarity with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion)
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex quantum systems
