Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for 1000+ qubit processors
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in drug discovery and climate modeling
- Collaborate with hardware teams on cryogenic system design and control electronics
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum information theory
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware design
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in machine learning and classical HPC optimization
