Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead quantum security protocols to protect next-gen communication networks
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Translate quantum algorithms into practical enterprise applications
- Mentor junior quantum researchers and publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science
- Drive quantum computing standards for the IEEE 2026 roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware design
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical ML frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or peer-reviewed quantum physics
- Experience with quantum cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra, computational complexity, and information theory
