Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototyping quantum processors
- Optimize quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and material science
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NIH/DARPA proposals
- Maintain compliance with NIST quantum security standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum coherence or entanglement
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 1000 qubits
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Experience securing government quantum computing contracts
- Patent portfolio in quantum information processing
