Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with quantum algorithm specialists to optimize hardware-software integration
- Lead prototyping of quantum circuits using industry-standard frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
- Conduct performance analysis and benchmarking of quantum systems
- Research novel quantum materials and cryogenic engineering solutions
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware design
- Strong background in superconducting qubit manipulation
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into engineering specifications
