Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Develop quantum algorithms targeting real-world optimization problems in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum processor capabilities with software requirements
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Create technical documentation and patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming principles (Q#, Cirq, Qiskit)
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and publish findings in top-tier journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record developing production quantum software using major frameworks (Q#, Cirq, Qiskit)
- Strong background in superconducting qubits, trapped ions, or photonic quantum systems
- Experience leading complex technical projects with cross-functional teams
- Publication record in quantum computing research or related fields
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant quantum computing roadmap
- Certification in cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
