Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures compatible with emerging quantum hardware platforms
- Develop quantum algorithms to solve complex optimization and simulation problems
- Integrate quantum systems with classical computing infrastructure for hybrid workflows
- Lead quantum software development teams using languages like Q# and Quipper
- Research and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Create technical documentation and quantum system specifications
- Stay current with quantum computing research and industry advancements
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum hardware
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, Qiskit) and classical high-performance computing
- Experience with quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Published research in quantum computing or equivalent industry contributions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
