Responsibilities
- Design quantum error correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum processors with sub-1% error rates
- Create quantum-safe cryptographic frameworks for 2026 infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and ML specialists
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum Shannon theory and error correction
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware limitations and mitigation strategies
