Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with 1000+ qubit coherence
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of physicists and software engineers
- Prototype quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Establish industry standards for quantum hardware-software integration
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum circuit designs
- Present breakthroughs at global quantum conferences (Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Physics, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum gate-level modeling (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Proficiency in low-level quantum assembly languages (QASM, OpenQASM)
- Experience securing DoE/NSF quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum-classical hybrid computing paradigms
