Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems with 1000+ qubit capacity for 2026 deployment
- Design error-correction protocols achieving <10-9 logical error rates
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration teams across 3 R&D centers
- Secure patents for novel quantum gate architectures and cooling systems
- Collaborate with NASA, DARPA, and Fortune 100 partners on quantum applications
- Mentor PhD physicists and engineers in quantum supremacy research
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record designing quantum processors with >100 qubit systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction (surface/colour codes) and fault tolerance
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing breakthroughs
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit physics
- Security clearance eligibility for government quantum initiatives
