Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with classical HPC infrastructure
- Document system architectures and performance benchmarks
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming best practices
- Stay current with emerging quantum algorithms and hardware developments
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing or advanced HPC architecture
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Published research in quantum information science preferred
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into engineering solutions
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Braket)
