About the Role:
As a Part-Time IT Support Specialist, you will be the first line of defense for our client's technical needs. You will provide exceptional service while managing your own schedule in a high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Tier 1 Technical Support: Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Incident Management: Log and track all support tickets using the Zendesk or ServiceNow ticketing system with high accuracy.
- Hardware & Software Maintenance: Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- User Assistance: Educate end-users on best practices for cybersecurity and software usage to prevent future issues.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of IT assets and equipment within the office.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field is a plus.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a help desk or technical support role is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote desktop tools (VPN, TeamViewer).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Availability: Must be available to work part-time hours (approx. 20-25 hours per week) including some evenings or weekends if required.
