Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions for our core platforms using Python and JavaScript.
- Maintain and refactor legacy codebases to ensure high performance and security standards during off-peak hours.
- Collaborate with the QA team to perform rigorous testing and debugging of night-cycle builds.
- Participate in code reviews and technical architecture planning sessions via asynchronous communication.
- Proactively monitor system health and troubleshoot critical incidents that occur during the night.
- Document technical specifications and API endpoints for the oncoming day shift team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (Django, React).
- Demonstrated experience working in night shift or rotating shift environments.
- Deep understanding of database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote-first culture.
