Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct and supervise the night shift staff to ensure all operational targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, oversee receiving and shipping processes, and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a secure working environment.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the night shift workflow and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce errors.
- Shift Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on shift performance, productivity metrics, and any incidents or issues that arose during the night.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance for forklifts and warehouse equipment to prevent downtime.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in logistics is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
