As a Night Shift Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the uptime and security of our mission-critical facilities. You will work independently and collaboratively to ensure that our data centers operate efficiently during off-peak hours.

Responsibilities
- Monitor server racks, power distribution units (PDUs), and environmental controls (HVAC) to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Perform routine hardware installation, cable management, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Execute critical security patches and system updates during the low-traffic night window.
- Respond immediately to alarms and troubleshoot hardware or network anomalies.
- Document all system changes, nightly logs, and incident reports in the CMDB.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and verify compliance with OSHA and internal safety protocols.
- Assist in the coordination of emergency response procedures and vendor support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data center operations or technical support.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a plus.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, cabling (fiber/copper), and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a climate-controlled environment.
