Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Perform vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and basic laboratory procedures
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate documentation
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or associate's degree (CMA/RMA preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
