Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic foresight frameworks using trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional innovation workshops with engineering, product, and design teams
- Produce actionable white papers and roadmaps for emerging technologies (2026 focus)
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation pipeline
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Monitor global tech disruptions and geopolitical shifts affecting long-term strategy
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial outcomes
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major strategic foresight projects
