Responsibilities
- Analyze global tech trends, patent landscapes, and socio-economic indicators to forecast 2026+ industry disruptions
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging tech adoption (quantum AI, neurointerfaces, climate engineering)
- Lead scenario-planning workshops with C-suite executives to future-proof organizational strategy
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-AI collaboration models
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-concept technologies
- Present foresight insights to investors, regulators, and industry consortiums
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies and strategic foresight tools
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech R&D
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized innovations
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum, biotech, AGI)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFSD, APF) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex futures concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating published future scenarios or implemented innovation strategies
