Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research across biotech, AI, quantum computing, and socio-economic systems to identify 2026+ disruptive opportunities
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks using scenario planning, trend analysis, and Delphi methodology
- Translate complex future scenarios into actionable innovation roadmaps with clear milestones and KPIs
- Lead cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives to align organizational strategy with future market realities
- Author thought leadership publications and whitepapers establishing Horizon Labs as the future-defining authority
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Oversee implementation of innovation incubation programs targeting 2026 market gaps
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep technical literacy across emerging technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology, Web3)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to distill complex futures into executive-level insights
- Portfolio of published future scenarios or innovation strategies implemented in Fortune 500 environments
- Experience leading cross-continental teams and managing global stakeholder ecosystems
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFSD, APF) strongly preferred
