- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, bio-integrated systems, neuromorphic computing) for enterprise adoption
- Lead cross-functional innovation labs with engineers, designers, and futurists
- Develop ethical frameworks for AI/ML deployment and autonomous systems
- Secure $5M+ R&D funding through strategic partnerships and grant applications
- Present technology roadmaps to C-suite and board of directors
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting tech innovation landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or hypergrowth startup experience
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or top-tier tech publications
- Proven track record of scaling tech initiatives from concept to commercialization
- PhD or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism preferred
- Exceptional stakeholder management with C-level executives and government agencies
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful technology transformation projects
