Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 technology foresight roadmap identifying quantum AI, biotech convergence, and spatial computing opportunities
- Lead strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, DARPA, and emerging startups for technology scouting
- Design incubation frameworks for experimental technologies with 3-year commercialization horizons
- Present quarterly disruption analyses to C-suite and board members with actionable mitigation strategies
- Manage a $2M innovation budget for prototype development and pilot programs
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future-ready features into current roadmaps
- Author thought leadership pieces for IEEE and TechCrunch on emerging tech trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, or synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies with PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven decision-making using Python/R
- Experience securing government grants (SBIR, DARPA) for experimental projects
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry conferences
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
