Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology roadmap for 2026-2030, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead research on emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech convergence) and assess commercial viability
- Design strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders to accelerate innovation
- Oversee the development of future-proof infrastructure including decentralized systems and autonomous operations
- Create predictive models for technological disruption and recommend mitigation/adaptation strategies
- Present visionary technology strategies to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage a $5M innovation budget for pilot projects and R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of strategic technology experience
- Proven track record in developing 5+ year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, advanced AI, neurotech, etc.)
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across R&D, product, and operations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategies
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or major industry conferences
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools (e.g., Horizons scanning, scenario planning)
