Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts and organizational growth targets
- Lead cross-functional sprints to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, bioinformatics)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough innovations with 2026 commercialization potential
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical AI deployment and responsible tech adoption
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite stakeholders and external investment partners
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-driven allocation methodologies
- Mentor technical teams in future-proofing architectures for exponential scalability
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record launching at least two breakthrough products with >$100M impact
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI)
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS, CFTE)
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (e.g., Nature Futures, MIT Tech Review)
- Experience managing global R&D teams across 3+ continents
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Kumu, GIGA) and data modeling
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
