Responsibilities
- Architect 3-5 year technology roadmaps integrating quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, and sustainable energy systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and venture capital teams
- Conduct horizon-scanning analyses of emerging technologies (e.g., synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for ethical AI deployment and digital sovereignty
- Present strategic blueprints to C-suite and board stakeholders with compelling data visualizations
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget for prototyping and pilot programs
- Mentor junior futurists in technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or venture innovation
- Proven track record launching products with 5+ year market impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AI, climate tech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- Proficiency in futures research tools (scenario planning, Delphi methods)
- Portfolio of published tech forecasts or patented innovations
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants or corporate venture funding
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
