Responsibilities
- Architect 3-5 year innovation roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, AR/VR ecosystems)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging AI, biotech, and sustainable energy sectors
- Secure $10M+ in government grants and venture capital for breakthrough projects
- Develop patent portfolios protecting 50+ novel technology methodologies annually
- Partner with Stanford/MIT on joint research initiatives targeting 2026 technological inflection points
- Advise C-suite on regulatory compliance for next-gen tech deployments
- Mentor a 15-person innovation lab of PhDs and industry veterans
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering with 10+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record of scaling technologies from concept to commercialization
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neural network optimization, or climate tech
- Published author in Nature/Science with >50 citations in tech policy papers
- Experience securing $5M+ in DARPA/EU Horizon grants
- Deep understanding of geopolitical implications of dual-use technologies
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming frameworks
- Portfolio of 3+ commercialized technologies impacting 1M+ users
