Responsibilities
- Scan global technology ecosystems to identify disruptive innovations with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for integrating quantum computing with legacy enterprise systems
- Lead interdisciplinary teams of bioengineers, AI ethicists, and materials scientists
- Present strategic roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Architect innovation pipelines aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budgets for experimental technology incubation
- Publish thought leadership in Nature Futures and MIT Technology Review
Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Physics, Bioengineering, or equivalent with 10+ years R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals on future tech implications
- Deep familiarity with DARPA/IARPA funding mechanisms and innovation ecosystems
- Experience scaling teams from prototype to global market deployment
- Certification in Technology Strategy from Stanford or MIT preferred
