- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, engineering, and business units
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budgets through compelling tech investment proposals
- Establish industry partnerships with leading research institutions and tech pioneers
- Present future tech frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 5+ futurist researchers and technology architects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech roles
- Proven track record of commercializing future-forward technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech, or neurotech
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, etc.)
- Deep network within Silicon Valley and global tech innovation ecosystems
- Portfolio demonstrating technology commercialization impact >$100M
