Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology) with 5-10 year market impact potential
- Develop technology adoption roadmaps aligned with business objectives and regulatory landscapes
- Conduct competitive intelligence analysis in exponential tech sectors (AI, biotech, nanotech)
- Present technology strategy insights to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Author white papers and thought leadership on future technology trends
- Build strategic partnerships with university research labs and government innovation agencies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience in technology strategy or corporate innovation
- Deep expertise in at least two exponential technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of forecasting technology adoption cycles
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment methodologies
- Strong executive communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
- Security clearance eligibility preferred for government partnership projects
