Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech convergence, and decentralized AI systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (2026-2030) through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Design strategic frameworks for ethical AI deployment and regulatory compliance
- Present future-vision briefings to Fortune 500 clients and industry consortiums
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for experimental technology incubation
- Mentor junior strategists in technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation consulting
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, AR/VR)
- Proven track record of launching commercialized futuristic technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- Deep understanding of Moore's Law evolution and technology S-curves
- Published thought leadership in tech forecasting (IEEE, Nature, or equivalent)
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and technology adoption models
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain for sensitive projects
