- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Monitor competitive landscape and disruptor threats
- Drive patent strategy and IP portfolio development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record forecasting tech trends (3-5 year horizon)
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum, AGI, nanotech, or biotech
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills
- Experience with scenario planning and risk assessment frameworks
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or strategy
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
