Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, synthetic biology) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market trends
- Partner with product teams to integrate next-gen solutions into customer-facing platforms
- Establish cross-functional innovation labs to prototype and validate disruptive concepts
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investor forums
- Build and manage relationships with academic institutions and R&D consortia
- Monitor regulatory landscapes and ethical implications of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or emerging technology roles
- Proven track record of launching technology-driven initiatives with measurable ROI
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical data
- Experience developing long-term strategic frameworks for Fortune 500 companies
- Certifications in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., CFTE, MIT Horizon Scanning)
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level communication expertise
