Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, AR/VR) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market trends
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype and validate breakthrough technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investors
- Manage a $5M+ R&D budget for future-tech incubation projects
- Establish ethical frameworks for AI/deep tech implementation
- Represent the company at global tech summits and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Expertise in emerging technologies (quantum computing, generative AI, Web3)
- Proven track record of launching commercialized tech products
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in AI ethics or sustainable technology preferred
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in agile environments
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Exceptional data analysis and strategic modeling skills
