Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential (quantum computing, neural interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for integrating innovations into enterprise ecosystems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams executing prototype development and validation
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Monitor global tech policy developments and assess regulatory implications
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons, patent development, and thought leadership
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or top-tier tech firms
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (AI ethics, quantum algorithms, climate tech)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex systems and predict market shifts
- Experience securing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and managing P&L for R&D initiatives
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Clearances for government innovation programs (DARPA, NSF, DOE) highly desirable
