Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year strategic technology roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Present innovation strategies to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage $20M+ annual R&D budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and global tech consortiums
- Mentor a team of 8 senior researchers and engineers
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in executive leadership
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Proven track record of launching at least 2 breakthrough products
- Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks and quantum computing architectures
- Experience securing $10M+ in government or private R&D funding
- Certified in Technology Strategy from MIT Sloan or equivalent
- Portfolio of patents or open-source contributions in emerging tech
