Responsibilities
- Architect multi-year innovation roadmaps targeting post-2026 technological disruptions
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, quantum computing, biotech, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing proof-of-concept prototypes for emerging solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Develop future scenario models and risk assessment frameworks for long-term planning
- Present innovation strategies to executive stakeholders and investment committees
- Mentor junior futurists and build internal innovation capability
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futures research
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, or Futures Studies (PhD/MSc preferred)
- Published thought leadership on emerging technologies (whitepapers, patents, or industry journals)
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and trend impact analysis
- Deep technical knowledge in at least two emerging domains (e.g., quantum AI, synthetic biology)
- Experience securing $5M+ in innovation funding or venture capital
- Proficiency in innovation management tools (e.g., Trello, Miro, Foresight Platform)
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
