Responsibilities
- Design and implement next-generation AI architectures capable of recursive self-improvement
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing ethical governance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Author groundbreaking research papers on quantum machine learning and neuromorphic computing
- Prototype AI models that solve previously intractable problems in climate science and medicine
- Collaborate with futurists to roadmap technological convergence points for 2026-2030
- Secure patents for novel AI algorithms with applications in space exploration and energy
- Mentor PhD candidates in our sponsored AI ethics fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, or Quantum Physics with 5+ years of research experience
- Published work in top-tier AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR) or Nature/Science journals
- Expertise in transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Track record of translating theoretical research into production-scale systems
- Deep understanding of AI safety protocols and existential risk mitigation
- Experience securing $1M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, or equivalent bodies
- Portfolio demonstrating work on projects with 10x+ performance improvements
