Responsibilities
- Architect 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market forecasts and emerging standards
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions (quantum algorithms, neural interfaces, carbon-negative systems)
- Conduct horizon scanning of global tech trends (Web4.0, synthetic biology, AGI safety frameworks)
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for ethical AI deployment and quantum encryption protocols
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board of directors with data-backed recommendations
- Manage $2M+ R&D budget allocation for breakthrough initiatives
- Partner with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, UT Austin) on joint research projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500/Unicorn companies
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals (Nature, Science) or equivalent industry thought leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, bio-AI, or decentralized networks
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 5+ year market impact cycles
- Certification in Futures Studies (e.g., WFS, APF) or advanced degree in Technology Forecasting
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants and DARPA-like innovation funding
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ technologies commercialized with >$100M market impact
