Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ tech landscape (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps aligned with $50M+ R&D budget
- Partner with VCs and startups to identify and acquire emerging technologies
- Present future scenarios to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Establish ethical frameworks for AI/ML systems deployed in 2026+ products
- Lead cross-functional teams of 15+ engineers, designers, and strategists
- Secure patents and publish thought leadership in top-tier journals
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech innovation or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products (3+ major innovations)
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum computing, generative AI, or climate tech
- Experience securing $10M+ innovation budgets and managing P&L
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology
- Exceptional communication skills for executive/board presentations
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals preferred
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/SHRP) a plus
