Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026+ innovation strategy aligning with market forecasts and technological disruptions
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and launch minimum viable products for emerging markets
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation budget through compelling business case development
- Establish KPI frameworks to measure ROI of strategic initiatives against industry benchmarks
- Forge strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and academic research institutions
- Present innovation roadmaps to the board and investors quarterly
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic planning with 5+ years in innovation leadership roles
- Proven track record launching disruptive products with >$100M market impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Expertise in emerging technologies: Generative AI, blockchain, or climate tech
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills for early-stage ventures
- Certification in Strategic Innovation Management (SIM) or equivalent
- Published thought leadership in Harvard Business Review or MIT Sloan
- Experience scaling teams from 10 to 50+ members during hypergrowth phases
