Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies with 2026 market impact
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Foresight Framework using quantitative/qualitative methodologies
- Produce strategic whitepapers and scenario-planning documents for executive stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-functional workshops to align innovation initiatives with future-state visions
- Monitor geopolitical and socio-economic shifts affecting long-term technology adoption
- Represent the company at global futurism conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor junior futurists and build the organization's foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futurism, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology forecasting
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or technology impact assessments
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies (e.g., from University of Houston)
