Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation strategy roadmap, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling breakthrough technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, Web3)
- Identify and evaluate emerging market trends, patent opportunities, and competitive disruptors
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio, allocating resources to high-impact R&D initiatives
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present innovation frameworks to investors and board members securing funding
- Mentor junior innovators and cultivate a culture of experimental learning
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $100M+ market impact
- Expertise in at least three emerging technologies (AI, quantum, AR/VR, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's tech and venture capital ecosystem
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent strategic foresight qualification
- Experience scaling teams from prototype to enterprise-level deployment
- Prior success in securing innovation grants and government partnerships
