Responsibilities
- Forecast and map emerging technology trends (2026-2035) through horizon scanning and scenario analysis
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps for portfolio companies in quantum computing and synthetic biology
- Lead cross-functional workshops to integrate foresight into product development cycles
- Author thought leadership reports on societal impacts of exponential technologies
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, VCs, and academic researchers
- Advise C-suite executives on future-proofing organizational capabilities
- Design and launch experimental innovation initiatives with $5M+ annual budget
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or Strategic Innovation (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, R&D leadership, or venture innovation
- Published thought leadership on exponential technologies (AI, nanotech, climate tech)
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and trend impact analysis
- Track record of commercializing emerging technologies through venture partnerships
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Trendalyzer, Foresight Engine)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on future-proofing strategies
