- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Present strategic foresight reports to executive leadership and investment committees
- Build and manage a global network of academic, startup, and corporate innovation partners
- Drive R&D budget allocation for high-impact future-focused initiatives
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an organization-wide innovation culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, or Strategic Foresight (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., quantum machine learning, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment frameworks
