What you'll achieve: Lead 3+ concurrent innovation projects from ideation to market readiness, secure $2M+ in R&D funding, and publish industry-defining white papers. This position reports directly to our Chief Futurist and includes equity participation in spin-off ventures.
Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps integrating quantum, AI, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional pods developing next-gen human augmentation interfaces
- Secure partnerships with MIT Media Lab, NASA JPL, and DARPA initiatives
- Present quarterly innovation briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 7 futurist researchers and prototype engineers
- Drive patent development for at least 4 breakthrough systems annually
- Curate annual 'Horizon 2026' summit showcasing industry-defining prototypes
Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Futures or equivalent transdisciplinary experience
- 5+ years leading R&D initiatives in exponential tech sectors
- Published research in Nature Futures or ACM Digital Library
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated success in securing federal innovation grants
- Portfolio of deployed systems affecting 1M+ users
- Security clearance (or eligibility) for classified project collaboration
- Fluency in Mandarin and Arabic for global stakeholder engagement
