What You'll Achieve: Shape Horizon's 2026 innovation agenda, launch 3+ pilot programs in emerging domains (quantum computing, neurotech, climate AI), and establish thought leadership through industry keynotes and whitepapers. We empower our futurists with dedicated R&D budgets, cutting-edge labs, and partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and NASA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps targeting 2026 market disruptions
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (AI ethics, biotech convergence, spatial computing)
- Design and launch cross-functional pilot programs with $500K+ annual budgets
- Present strategic foresight reports to executive board and investor committees
- Build and mentor an innovation lab team of 8-12 specialists
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D centers
- Measure and report KPIs for innovation ROI and market adoption rates
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, product development, or futures research
- Proven track record of launching tech-forward initiatives with measurable impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to stakeholders
- Certification in Futures Studies or Innovation Management (e.g., CFIP)
- Experience leading teams through ambiguous technology transitions
- Portfolio of 3+ successful innovation projects with revenue impact
