Responsibilities
- Analyze macroeconomic, technological, and sociocultural trends to identify disruptive opportunities through 2030
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Produce strategic foresight reports for executive leadership and R&D teams
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-vision into 5-year roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional workshops on paradigm shifts and black swan events
- Monitor horizon-scanning publications and patent landscapes for early signals
- Establish KPIs for measuring the impact of future-oriented initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech analysis
- Portfolio demonstrating published trend analysis or scenario-planning work
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methods, and systems thinking
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience with futures modeling tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis)
- Published thought leadership in tech or futures publications
